Man cave, summer house, shed - wooden structure

Is it possible to install a stove in a wooden house?

The answer is - Yes, but...

You must remember about the risks associated with such an installation.

To do this, you need to keep in mind as follows

1. Securing the Floor

1. Fire-resistant metal, concrete, ceramic or similar board (to protect the floor from burning

pieces of wood falling from the stove door)

2. securing the plate / base under the stove against swinging or tipping over

2. Make approx. 100 cm space around the stove

1. it is about the effect of temperature on furniture or other objects

3. Secure the passage of the exhaust pipe through the wall

1. making an appropriately larger hole in the wall, at least 25 mm around the pipe

2. protecting the wooden wall against high temperatures by

1. installing a metal plate with a hole will help to keep the pipe in the center of

the hole, away from the edge of the wall.

2. Wrap the hot pipe with rock wool

1. if there is an insulating layer between the layers of wooden walls that is not

resistant to high temperature, such as polystyrene, it should be removed within a

radius of 15 cm and replaced with rockwool

4. How to secure the wall to which the stove will be attached

1. cover the wall with a temperature-resistant board, metal, ceramics, temperature-resistant

quecement or gypsum board

5. in some cases, the ceiling above the stove - when the ceiling is too close to the stove, it should be

secured as in point 4
