Running a hot flue pipe through a wooden wall is possible by observing a few rules.
Important information to consider
• average exhaust gas temperatures (70-250*C) when passing the wall (wooden)
• Wood ignition temperatures (355*C)
• Ventilate the space around the hot pipe
• Thermal insulating properties of air (good)
In addition, you will need these
• wall plates to fix the hot pipe in the center of the hole in the wall away from the wooden
elements of the wall
• Rock wool that will fill the space surrounding the hot pipe in the wall
• High-temperature silicone that will seal the gap between the pipe and the wall plate from the
outside.
We do not seal this gap from the inside of the room, so the space in the wall plate around the hot
pipe can ventilated relatively freely.
You can also choose from our offer wall plates that have drilled ventilation holes
